VOSviewer

VOSviewer is a free desktop software running on Mac, Windows and Linux. Tool to create networks

NodeXL provides functions to create networks from some social media, and VOSviewer helps you create networks from scientific publications. If you would like to create and explore networks from other sources of data, you can use nocodefunctions.com: a web app with a menu of several functions.

In nocodefunctions.com, several functions are focused on creating networks (no need to know how to code to use them). The network you obtain can then be imported, explored and visualized in Gephi, NodeXl or VOSviewer.

Other software

Other famous software for network analysis include Pajek for very large networks, UCINET for statistical analysis on relatively small networks and Cytoscape which tends to be focused on biological networks.
